Adding Users and Managers is a critical step in getting Ambition configured. Ambition only processes data for the users currently in the platform, making user set-up a pre-requisite for data integration.
Users can be added manually (recommended for 1-15 users) or can be uploaded from a .csv file export from your system of record. (recommended for 15+ users)
If you're using our Salesforce integration, you can sync your Salesforce user to Ambition easily.
In Ambition, Users are organized into Group Types such as Role, Office, and Division.
Managers are Users too. You can set a manager by selecting the "Manager" checkbox when creating that User's profile.
When adding users, it's important to assign their Manager. If your users have more than one manager, such as in a matrixed organization, list their manager responsible for Human Resource related duties. Ambition supports matrixed teams through groups, configured next.
